A long time coming

Our Story

Beach Blast UTV Rentals, LLC is an Unseen Pass, Inc. Subsidiary.

In 2020, Kyle Wrightenberry started Unseen Pass in West Jefferson, NC.

Unseen Pass was the first company in North Carolina to rent street-legal UTVs.

On Labor Day of 2020, Unseen Pass was told to shut down by the NC DMV based on a decision by the NC Attorney General.

This is the story behind Beach Blast UTV Rentals.

At that time, the founder of Unseen Pass, Kyle Wrightenberry, was forced to change the law to clear up the grey area so that UTVs could be modified to operate legally on NC roadways. And, that’s exactly what Kyle did with the help of Senator Steve Jarvis from North Carolina. Senate Bill 241 passed with an unprecedented record: 13-0 in the Senate Transportation Committee, 47-0 in the Senate, and 105-5 in the House, before it was signed into law by Governor Cooper. After Kyle changed the law with the help of Senator Jarvis, he then went on to purchase Kan-Am Fun from Ernie and Lisa Quintal in Gatlinburg, TN.

Kan-Am Fun consisted of a street-legal UTV location in downtown Gatlinburg and an off-road park in Sevierville, TN – which is right outside Gatlinburg.

Kan-Am Fun was later rebranded to Off-Road Gatlinburg.

With the help of Luke Oley, the Director of Operations, the operations exploded.

From there, the business grew drastically and Unseen Pass acquired Smoky Mountain Adventure Rides in Pigeon Forge, TN.

After taking over the market and becoming the top UTV Rental Company on the East Coast, Unseen Pass decided to capitalize on a long-term dream, which was to open a location at the coast of North Carolina. As a child, Kyle, originally from Durham, NC, visited the Emerald Isle with his papa, Billy Watson, to see his successful uncles Ronnie, Larry, and Bobby Watson – in addition to his cousin, Cam Watson.

This leads us to Beach Blast 🙂

Beach Blast UTV Rentals was created on April 18th, 2024 and has plans to open on or slightly before May 24th of, 2024 in Swansboro, NC. It has partnered with Cam Watson, who is also the owner of Ponderosa Pet Ranch, to provide management and oversight.
